Our focus is on adequately protecting the site from run-off and soil erosion. We achieve this by ensuring the following:-
Our trenching machines have customised attachments designed to penetrate the most difficult soil conditions to achieve the correct depth.
- We use a high quality woven needle punched geotextile fabric that is manufactured to the highest international standards and has ISO9001:2000 accreditation. This fabric has a high UV rating and is attached to the pegs using air-driven staples.
- We use Australian hardwood pegs driven into the soil with specifically designed pneumatic post drivers and also attach a "WARNING" sign to our fences to aid with damage control.
Safety Barriers
We are aware of the requirement under the Workplace Health and Safety Regulations for the provision of safety barriers around excavations on building sites so Vidgil Silt Fencing also provides this service to our clients.
We can supply and install the visual barrier that is required around excavations by installing 1 metre high safety barricades using top-grade PVC barrier mesh attached to either hardwood timber stakes or star pickets with capping.
Gravel Crossovers
Gravel crossovers can be provided using 40 - 60 mm crushed concrete/gravel.
Rubbish Containment Barriers
We can supply and install containment barriers using 1.5m hardwood timber stakes or capped star pickets and wrapped in sediment fabric. These can be sized accordingly. Or alternatively, we can also provide skip bins (4 or 6 cubic metre) to hold construction rubbish.
Our prices are as follows:-
- Our "set-price" sediment control barrier (up to 45m) is $180.00 (+GST)
- Our PRINTED sediment control barrier is $200 (+GST)
- Our "per metre" rate for large jobs (over 50 lineal metres) is $5.00 m (+GST)
- Visual safety barriers are $7.00 m (+GST - minimum charge of 25m applies)

- 6 cubic metre skip bin (inc. drop off, pick up and disposal) price on application
